FAQ: Flight Nanny Services & Pet Transport Costs

Do you transport all large adult dogs and adult cats?

No, the dimensions for the pet carrier are as follows: maximum dimensions of 18" long, 14" wide, and 8" high. The combined weight of the pet and carrier should not exceed 17 pounds. The carrier must fit under the seat in front of the passenger and will be a soft-sided case. The pet must stay in its container at all times during the flight.  The dog must be under 16 pounds, older than 8 weeks for domestic flights or 16 weeks for international flights, fully vaccinated, and healthy to fly.  The travel container must be spacious enough for your dog to stand, turn around, and lie down in a natural position to ensure comfort throughout the journey. Our flight nanny services will only transport kittens that are at least 8 weeks old to be eligible for flights within the United States.

Does your nanny services include transportation to international locations?

Pet Nanny Express offers international travel to select destinations; however, advance bookings are necessary to secure these services.

Do I need a health certificate for my pet to fly with Pet Nanny Express?

Yes, a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) needs to be issued and signed by a licensed veterinarian within 10 days of travel to ensure your pet is healthy to travel.  Please review the following website to verify which forms are required for your transport prior to finalizing the booking.  Failure to provide the required health certificates result in no refund being given. https://www.aphis.usda.gov/pet-travel/state-to-state

What payments does Pet Nanny Express accept?

We accept Venmo, Zelle, or Paypal  A non-refundable fee of 25% of the agreed-upon price is required once the agreement is executed, and the remaining is due at the time of transfer. Our fees include a soft-sided kennel, ensuring easy transport home and reducing the risk of disease transmission, as only your pet will use this kennel.

How early should I book my trip?

We recommend booking air travel at least 7-15 days in advance. We will collaborate with you to determine the best time. We do not fly standby, but will work with you on a few days that will work best as most of our deliveries take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, or Sunday to keep the costs low. We are also open to searching for last-minute fares on Frontier Airlines to keep costs low and cancel the original advance booking if you are open to that option.

What happens if the flight is canceled or delayed?

Occasional delays are inevitable, but rest assured, we will keep you informed throughout the process. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. We will work with you to rebook your pet’s travel.

Can you pick up from a breeder or deliver my pet to my home?

Our transport services include picking up your pet at the drop-off airport and meeting you at the delivery airport.  We are based in Colorado, so we can drop off or pick up at a Colorado location since we are licensed in the state for an additional fee. We can work with breeders to become licensed in a state if we can establish a relationship with them, so please reach out to us at petnannyexpressllc@gmail.com and we will contact the breeder directly to get additional information.
